Our sessions run on Wednesdays between 10am - 11:30am during term time, with craft activities and refreshments. The first session is free and thereafter we ask for a contribution of £1 per session for each adult bringing children to the group.
We aim to provide activities for a range of preschool ages including a baby area for those of you with our youngest visitors, a craft table for those who are looking after the artists and an area for ride on toys to trundle off that extra energy.
Juice or water and a snack will be provided for the children around about 10:30am at the tables. If the child in your care is able, we would ask if you could please encourage them to be seated at the table for their refreshment.
Please do let us know beforehand if your child has any dietary restrictions which could prevent them from having the snack on offer, when possible we would provide an alternative option.
After this the children can return to the toys and it’s your turn for a drink! Tea, coffee and biscuits are put on the side out of reach of the children where you can choose your refreshment.
To round the session off, at around 11:15am we would like to invite you to come and sit with your child for a short story and a couple of songs.
There are changing facilities in the disabled toilet at the rear of the building. If possible, please take dirty nappies home with you as this helps to reduce the rubbish waiting for collection.
As we know that parenting is not an easy task, we would like to be able to help you in anyway we can and have a selection of books to lend covering topics such as problems with sleep routine, eating and siblings.
Over the years, the toddler group has become a popular place to be on Wednesday mornings. In order to maintain and safe and happy environment we have found it necessary to restrict the numbers to a maximum of 30 children at any one session. Once that number has been reached we will put up a notice and close the door.
